We’ve just been to see the cherry blossoms at The Alnwick Garden , and honestly, we can’t stop thinking about it. All 329 Taihaku cherry trees are now in full bloom and it’s one of the most stunning things we’ve ever seen. If you're staying with us soon – or even just thinking about booking a spring break – this is the  time to come. The trees only stay in bloom for a couple of weeks, and it’s one of those “you have to see it in person” kind of moments. You walk through the orchard and it feels like you’re in a completely different world – petals gently falling like snow, huge white blossoms everywhere, and this peaceful atmosphere that just makes you want to slow down and take it all in. We’ve been a few times before, but it still takes your breath away. And the best part? It’s right on the doorstep – just a short drive from all of our Northumberland Luxury Stays homes. Whether you’re in The Galloway, The Shearling, or The Newland, you can be there in under 10 minutes. We had a slow wander through the orchard, took about a million photos, and then just sat on one of the benches for a bit, soaking it all in. There were families, couples, solo visitors… and a lot of people (us included) saying “wow” every few minutes. There’s also the Bamboo Labyrinth, Rose Garden, and the Treehouse Restaurant, which is like something out of a fairytale.
